Hello! And a huge welcome to Ruby Lou’s Cake Co - as long as you like cake, you’re more than welcome here (and, even if you don’t like cake, you’re welcome too - there’s space for everyone!*) 

I’m Nat (she/her) and I have the privilege of running Ruby Lou’s. What started out as making a cake for my son’s first birthday has transformed into over a decade (!) of making cakes for other people’s biggest celebrations and tenderest, most heartfelt moments -- an honour I’m so lucky to have and will treasure forever.

I founded Ruby Lou’s with one core motive: that every single one of my cakes doesn’t just taste extraordinary, but feels extraordinary too. I want my cakes to reflect the significance of the moment they’re being eaten: the feeling that that bite at that moment in time is something so special and so blissful that you know you’ll never be able to replicate it, but you’ll always be able to remember it. With a blend of delicious flavours, the highest quality ingredients and - cliched though it is, homemade cakes taste best for a reason! - a whole lot of love, I hope your Ruby Lou’s cake is the best you’ve ever had.

Right from your first inquiry, whether it’s for a wedding, a birthday, or a party just because, it’s my genuine pleasure to get to know you and your story, and infuse that authenticity into your cake. All of my clients are people who strive for something different and better, who break the mould and rebel against tradition, so my cakes do the same. Plus, from start to finish I ensure the whole process is not only stress free, but actively exciting - because what is cake if not a reason for celebration?

Outside of the bakery I’m a huge fan of watching Queer Eye, Greenleaf, How To Get Away With Murder, and The Real Housewives of Atlanta on the sofa with a cuppa and a snack, and wherever I am I’m the proud mum to Reuben and Lucy, wife to Leigh, and new fur mum to Rio. I love nothing more than getting to know people (in case you hadn’t noticed already…) and clearing the cobwebs away by going for a long walk or a workout.
